»Ärschlein« is a huge horn that represents swearwords from the German Dictionary of the Brothers Grimm like ›Wurmgeschmeisz!‹, ›Pfeifensack!‹ and ›Rotzlöffel!‹ The insult is triggered by swearwords that visitors call into the mouthpiece. Inaudible to bystanders, the called words are recorded and analyzed based on volume and emphasis, and a corresponding historic insult is chosen. As a consequence, the installation is a big prank and, at the same time, a continuously growing archive of modern swearwords.
