Josephs service manufactory

Development of shop design and display modules for the showroom ‘Josephs’ in the town of Nuremberg, Germany. The interior resembles the style of an open laboratory. The quarterly change of the displayed exhibitions is indicated and intensified through coherent changes of lighting and light coloring, realized with a sophisticated lighting management system. The colors used are taken from the corporate design scheme of the Josephs.

The Josephs is a part of the project „Service Factory Nuremberg“ of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology – it was realized in order to increase the development of innovative services and technologies in the metropolitan area. The Josephs was invented by a team of the Fraunhofer institute for Supply Chain Services SCS and the chair for computational linguistics / information systems of the Friedrich-Alexander-University during 2012 and 2014, being an open source location and platform. Visitors are kindly invited to experience and co-create innovative ideas and products, which would shape the object world of the future.
